I understand that you are considering the Thornburgh Resort, a proposed destination resort. I urge you to not allow it to move forward until the resort can prove it has the mitigation water to offset the effects of its enormous groundwater withdrawals on fish and wildlife. Deschutes County should require the resort to demonstrate publicly that it has the mitigation water that the original approval is based on. The public has the right to see that the effects on fish and wildlife will be fully mitigated for the Whychus Creek and the Deschutes River. By law, the resort is required to fully mitigate for all impacts on fish and wildlife. Please enact the law! Thank you, Jacqueline Newbold 19615 Tumalo Rim Ct.
