Will:
How about a condition of approval that we provide two additional parking spaces (we expect there will be 2 employees
for housekeeping which requires one parking space; we propose two which is enough at the hotel rate for up to four
employees; at the motel rate, only one parking space is required for the manager) in the approximate area shown by
Kam on the attached plan. The spaces would be located on a driveway proposed by the OLU site plan. The idea of this
approach is to meet all parking needs for the OLU site plan on the OLU site plan.
Thank you,
Liz Fancher

Subject: 507-SP OLU Parking
Liz,
You include a proposed finding:
DCC 18.116.030(D) does not include a category for OLUs. Subsection (D)(2) includes hotels and motels and sets
different requirements for each. In previous OLU applications for the Caldera and Tetherow destination resorts,
2
a requirement of one parking space per OLU was imposed. We believe the same requirement should be applied
here.
These uses certainly require worker parking in addition to the guest parking a 1 space/unit. In the Tetherow example,
housekeeping worker parking was provided elsewhere on the site. I’m assuming that housekeeping will be located in the
clubhouse complex. Do you have a suggestion on how to provide a finding for this proposal? Could we simply condition
this application to make clear that these structures will not be usable or counted as OLUs until the worker parking is
provided in a subsequent public process?
Thanks,
Will
