WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined
that it is necessary to obtain certain property located in an
unincorporated area of Deschutes County, Oregon, for the purpose
of constructing a public road; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of ORS Chapter 35 it is
necessary that the Board of County Commissioners declare the
necessity of acquiring said real property when the necessity
exists to carry out the purposes of said public improvements;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the Board of County Commissioners of
Deschutes County, Oregon, deems it necessary and expedient and in
the public interest that for the purposes of widening a bridge on
Walker Road and a portion of Walker Road, Deschutes County
acquire fee simple title to the real property described in
Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated
herein.
Section 2. That Deschutes County, Oregon, has not been able
to agree with the owners of the said real property as to the com-
pensation to be paid therefore; and the Director of Public Works
is authorized to further negotiate in an attempt to agree with
the owners as to the compensation to be paid for the real pro-
perty sought to be acquired.
Section 3. That in the event no satisfactory agreement can
be reached, the County Legal Counsel is hereby authorized to
institute a proceeding in eminent domain for acquisition of the
land hereinabove described, and to seek immediate possession of
said land.

A parcel of land lying in Section 27, Township 17 South, Range 14
East, 4!.M., Deschutes County, Oregon: The said parcel being that
portion of said Section 27 included in a strip of land variable
in width, lying on the northerly side of the centerline of Walker
Road (Deschutes County Road D -27) as said road is located, which
center line is described as follows:
Beginning at Engineer's Centerline Station 7 +42.98, said Station
being 55.04 feet North and 921.59 feet West of the Southeast
corner of said Section 27, Township 17 South, Range 14 East, W.l.;
thence South 870 24' 05" East 524.53 feet to Engineer's Centerline
Station 12 +67.51.
The widths in feet of the strip of land above referred to are as
follows:
