1985-00319-Resolution No. 85-004 Recorded 1/9/198585" 319 BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DF„iHUTESBCWI OREGON MARrSUE..PENHQILOW .� COUNTY CLERK VOL 62 PAGE 280 A Resolution Initiating Proceedings to Improve Certain Dedicated Roads Known as a portion of Old Wagon Road in Sage Meadow Subdivision and all of Squawback Lane East, all of Squawback Lane West, all of Paddock Green, all of Tumble Weed Turn, that portion of Squaw Back Road and that portion of Old Wagon Road in Squaw Back Woods Addition to Indian Ford Ranch Homes in Deschutes County, Oregon; Describing the Roads to be Improved; Designating Where the Improvements Shall be Made; Defining the Nature of the Improvements; and Referring this Resolution to the County Engineer for Investigation of the Proposed Improvements. RESOLUTION NO. 85 -004 WHEREAS, the owners of property abutting the proposed improvement of a portion of Old Wagon Road in Sage Meadow Subdivision and all of Squawback Lane East, all of Squawback Lane West, all of Paddock Green, all of Tumble Weed Turn, that portion of Squaw Back Road and that portion of Old Wagon Road in Squaw Back Woods Addition to Indian Ford Ranch Homes in Deschutes County, Oregon, have requested the Board of County Commissioners to improve these roads; and WHEREAS, it appears that such roads should be improved; and WHEREAS, it appears that it is in the public interest that the Public Works Department of Deschutes County, Oregon, perform required engineering and surveying for this improvement; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: 1 - RESOLUTION NO. 85 -004 VOL 62 FADE 2SI Section 1. That proceedings be initiated to improve a portion of Old Wagon Road in Sage Meadow Subdivision and all of Squawback Lane East, all of Squawback Lane West, all of Paddock Green, all of Tumble Weed Turn, that portion of Squaw Back Road and that portion of Old Wagon Road in Squaw Back Woods Addition to Indian Ford Ranch Homes to Deschutes County Rural Local Road Standards for the benefit of the area described in Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. Section 2. That the dedicated roads to be improved within the district described in Section 1 of this Resolution are described in Exhibit "B ", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. section 3. Improvements to be made to the roadway within the district include all or part of, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Mobilization - normal mobilization costs incurred in preparation of the work. 2. Traffic Control - signs and flaggers will be provided to warn, safeguard, protect, guide and inform the public and the workers. 3. Subgrade - a minimal amount of earthwork will be required to construct subgrade. There will be some construction required to provide proper drainage. 4. Base - placing, shaping, compacting and fine grading of base will be required. A six (6) inch depth of compacted cinder base will be utilized. The finished width shall be thirty -two feet measured between the edge of shoulders. 5. Paving - the paving will be an 0 -9 Asphaltic Penetration Macadam (Oil Mat). The pavement will be twenty -four (24) feet in width. 6. Engineering and Administration - County expenses in preparation of plans and specifications, inspection, surveying, accounting and payment collection and other incidental costs. section 4. The roads to be improved as a result of this Resolution shall be improved to County Rural Local Road Standards. 2 - RESOLUTION NO. 85 -004 VOL 62 ?AGE 2S? Section 5. This Resolution shall hereby be referred to the County Engineer for investigation of the proposed improvements in accordance with ORS 371.625. The County Engineer may engage the services of any qualified engineer for all or part of the investigation required under ORS 371.625.
