George Read, Associate Planner, stated that
Temporary Permit -
this request is for a temporary permit for
Eagle Crest
two temporary sales facilities in two
different areas of the site; one in the
center of the site, and one near the existing
condos along the Deschutes River, and a
temporary administration office located near
the rim area is also requested. Mr. Read
indicated that the applicant has demonstrated
good and sufficent cause for the use permit.
Mr. Read stated that one of the problems the
staff has is the issuance of temporary
use permits on a regular basis, which
has occured with the Eagle Crest develop-
ment. The staff has received two complaints
from people who have received notice after
units have been constructed.
Dave Jaqua, Attorney at Law - Eagle Crest
Counsel - stated that this is their second
request for temporary use permits and
the reason for the request is that the sales
for the project are better and are coming in
faster than anticipated, therefore additional
temporary facilities are needed to enhance
the sales process.
Commissioner Prante indicated the Board's
concern for the request by Eagle Crest for
temporary use permits on a regular basis and
stressed that the Board will reluctantly
look at the scope of the project prior to
acceptance of further temporary use permit
requests.
MOTION: PRANTE moved to approve the
Temporary Permit for Eagle Crest.
