RESOLUTION NO. 86 -028
WHEREAS, the County deems that the surrender of jurisdiction
of certain County roads known as a portion of Southwest 23rd
Street, a portion of Odem Meadow Road, a portion of South Canal
Boulevard, and a portion of Southwest Wickiup Road to the City of
Redmond is in the best interests of the County; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to give notice and hold a hearing
in accordance with ORS 373.270 in order to consider the surrender
of such County roads to the jurisdiction of the City of Redmond;
and
WHEREAS, said County roads have been improved with County
Road Fund monies to a standard agreed upon between the City of
Redmond and Deschutes County; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the County deems the surrender of jurisdic-
tion of the County roads known as a portion of Southwest 23rd
Street, from Southwest Obsidian to State Highway 126 (.50 miles),
a portion of Odem Meadow Road from Southwest Canal Boulevard to
State Highway 97 (.19 miles), a portion of South Canal Boulevard
from Odem Meadow Road to Southwest 7th Street (1.22 miles), and a
portion of Southwest Wickiup Road from Southwest 27th Street to
Southwest 31st Street (.32 miles) to the City of Redmond to be in
the best interests of the County.
Section 2. That the Director of Public Works give notice of
the County's intent to transfer jurisdiction of the County roads
described in Section 1 hereof by notice substantially as set
forth in Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein.

Section 3. That the City of Redmond be given sixty (60)
days in which to accept the order and offer to surrender juris-
diction of the County roads described in Section 1 of this Reso-
lution.
Section 4. That notice of the intent to transfer County
roads to the City of Redmond be by publication in the Bend
"Bulletin" for four (4) consecutive weeks.

NOTICE
The Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County,
Oregon, has adopted a Resolution initiating the transfer of
certain County roads known as a portion of Southwest 23rd Street,
a portion of Odem Meadow Road, a portion of South Canal Boule-
vard, and a portion of Southwest Wickiup Road within the City of
Redmond to the jurisdiction of the City of Redmond. A hearing to
consider an Order transferring the jurisdiction of the above
described County roads to the City of Redmond shall be held on
July 2, 1986, at 10:00 a.m. in the Deschutes County Courthouse
Annex, Bend, Oregon.
The Board of County Commissioners will consider if it is
necessary, expedient, or for the best interests of the County to
surrender jurisdiction of the roads at the hearing.
Any interested person may appear at the hearing and give
testimony and make objections to the transfer of the above de-
scribed County roads to the City of Redmond.
