MAUDLIN: Second. VOTE: UNANIMOUS APPROVAL Possible Approval of Weekly Warrant Vouchers The amount of the weekly warrant vouchers is $294,645.11. MOTION: TUTTLE moved for approval of weekly warrant vouchers. MAUDLIN: Second VOTE: UNANIMOUS APPROVAL Rick Isham stated that the agreement has not been finalized yet. The Lion's Club will assign their license to the South Central Oregon Baseball group. A document is needed for that approval of assignment. MOTION: MAUDLIN moved for authorization for approval of transfer of property to the South Central Oregon Baseball Inc. TUTTLE: Second Commissioner TUTTLE expressed concern over the ability of the South Central Oregon Baseball group to maintain management of the facility. MOTION: PRANTE moved authorizing Karen Green to sign the letter of understanding for the Deschutes County mediation services File No. 1-371, DOJ No. 1980400087. TUTTLE: Second. VOTE: MAUDLIN: Yes TUTTLE: No PRANTE: Yes MOTION: PRANTE entertained a motion to sign the intergovernmental agreements for the program that's in operation. MAUDLIN: So moved. TUTTLE: Second. VOTE: MAUDLIN: Yes TUTTLE: No PRANTE: Yes Possible Appointment of Theresa Rahmsdorff to the Private Industry Council MOTION: TUTTLE moved to appoint Theresa Rahmsdorff to the PIC. MAUDLIN: Second. VOTE: UNAMIMOUS APPROVAL Consideration of Order No 86-064, Denying Appeal Request from Klug/Rainey from Order No 86-060, Denying Them a Solid Waste Franchise MOTION: TUTTLE moved for adoption of Order No. 86-064. MAUDLIN: Second. VOTE: UNANIMOUS APPROVAL Other Staff/ Public Concerns MINUTES JULY 23, 1986 - PAGE 5 VOL 2 FACE 1 Rick Isham sent out memos regarding the policy discussed last Monday to all department heads asking them to respond with any concerns directly to the board by 10:00 a.m. next Monday. Jim France and Terry Silbaugh explained to the board what the county's involvement is in the Cascade Lakes Triathlon. He stated that the county's participation is in the area of safety only not as a sponsor or supervisor nor is the county liable. The mention of the county on the flyer promoting the event was only as a recognition of a service provided. The board wants to make sure that people realize that the county does not approve events.
