Chair Prante read aloud two amendments to the agenda.
Chair Prante called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m.
Commissioners Throop and Maudlin were in attendance. Also
present was Rick Isham, County Legal Counsel.

2. LICENSE FOR TOUCH OF CLASS MOTOR INN
MOTION: Commissioner THROOP moved to
approve the license for the Touch
of Class Motor Inn.

DESCHUTES COUNTY COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS PLAN
This item was postponed for two weeks.
SIGNATURE OF WEEKLY WARRANT VOUCHERS
The amount of weekly vouchers is $161,291.20.
MOTION: Commissioner MAUDLIN moved to approve
signature of the weekly warrant vouchers
subject to review by the Board.

9. POLICY ON PLACING ITEMS ON BOARD AGENDA
The Board discussed a change in policy of placing items
on the agenda. All items will be reviewed at a work
session on Mondays, but not placed on the meeting
agenda until two Wednesdays later. This will give the
Board more time to review an item from the work session
to the actual meeting.

approve this new procedure.

10. LAPINE AMBULANCE SERVICE
Commissioner Maudlin stated that Tony Whitney had been
in from LaPine to discuss the lack of ambulance service
to the LaPine area. Mr. Whitney asked to be placed on
the Board agenda to present a proposal. This item will
be heard on April 1, 1987.
11. DISCUSSION OF CHANNEL 3 TRANSFER
There was discussion regarding the transfer of Channel
3 to Channel 15. The Board was concerned about this
change, and Commissioner Throop felt that the County
should respond, firmly stating their position of
retaining Channel 3 in its current status. The Board
asked Legal Counsel to draft a letter for Board
signature to this effect.
Commissioner Throop will compile a list of agencies to
notify, and Commissioner Maudlin will put together a
notification list of local people.
Meeting was adjourned.
