WORK SESSION MINUTES

Chair Prante called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m. Board
members in attendance were Lois Bristow Prante, Tom Throop, and
Dick Maulin. Also present was Rick Isham, County Legal Counsel.
1. DECISION ON AP-87-4
MOTION: Commissioner Maudlin moved to uphold the
County Hearings officer's decision to deny a variance
request by Time Oil Company to the minimum distance
allowed between service stations. Commissioner Throop
seconded that motion.
Upon discussion, the Board agreed that staff should
review PL-11, the Bend Urban Growth Boundary Zoning
Ordinance, to add clearer criteria or to amend criteria
in regard to distance between service stations.
Commissioner Prante felt that the situation causing the
original 1500-foot determination may possibly no longer
exist.

2. BARGAIN AND SALE DEED
MOTION: Commissioner Throop moved for signature of the
bargain and sale deed from Deschutes County to Gary
Sobala and Linda Pasley. Commissioner Maudlin
seconded.
