DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
June 17, 1987
Chair Prante called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. Board members
in attendance were Lois Bristow Prante, Dick Maudlin, and Tom
Throop. Also present was Richard Isham, County Legal Counsel.
1. AMENDMENTS TO THE AGENDA
There was one amendment to the agenda.
2. EMULSIFIED ASPHALT CONTRACTS
MOTION: Commissioner Maudlin moved to approve the
emulsified asphalt contracts subject to approval by Legal
Counsel. Commissioner Throop seconded.

3. IMPROVEMENT OF SHERRIE WAY AND SIGNING
MOTION: Commissioner Throop moved to authorize Public
Works to repair Sherrie Way and to continue improvement of
public ways for signing and to direct Legal Counsel to
draft an order to that effect. Commissioner Maudlin
seconded the motion, asking that the order specify that
the improvement of Sherrie Way was a "one-time shot".

4. CONTRACT FOR OVERLAY OF S.E. 27TH STREET
MOTION: Commissioner Throop moved to award the contract
for overlay of a portion of S.E. 27th Street to Central
Oregon Pavers, who submitted the lowest bid at $116,200.

Aggregate and Paving, who submitted the lowest bid at
$69,000. Commissioner Maudlin seconded.

MOTION: Commissioner Throop moved to authorize Public
Works to advertise for bids on the reconstruction of

MOTION: Commissioner Maudlin moved for signature of the
personal services contract with Environmental Training

8. AMENDMENT TO MENTAL HEALTH AGREEMENT
MOTION: Commissioner Maudlin moved for signature of
approval of Amendment #15 to the Mental Health Services

9. MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES CONTRACTS
MOTION: Commissioner Throop moved to sign the Mental
Health Services subcontracts and personal services
contracts contingent upon approval and signature of other

agreement between Deschutes County and the Humane Society

and Darleen Taylor to the Board of Directors for the
Deschutes River Recreation Homesites Unit 8, Part 3,
