DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
September 16, 1987
Chair Prante called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. Board
members in attendance were Lois Bristow Prante and Dick Maudlin.
Also present was Karen Green, Assistant County Counsel.
1. SUBORDINATING COUNTY SECURITY
Before the--Board was a request by the Central Oregon
Intergovernmental Council to subordinate County security on
property in the LaPine Industrial Park.
PRANTE: I will entertain a motion to sign the approval
contingent upon signature by the Golds and COIC.
MAUDLIN: So moved.
PRANTE: Second.
VOTE: MAUDLIN: YES

2. AMENDMENT #1 TO THE 1987-88 HEALTH DEPARTMENT AGREEMENT
MAUDLIN: I move signature of amendment #1.
PRANTE: Second.

3. APPOINTMENTS TO THE MENTAL HEALTH ADVISORY BOARD
Before the Board were requests from the Mental Health
Division to appoint John Sims and Bob Stevens to the Mental
Health Advisory Board.
PRANTE: I will entertain a motion to appoint John Sims and
Bob Stevens.

4. COUNTY'S POLICY ON RESPONDING TO ANONYMOUS COMPLAINTS
The Board continued this matter for one week in order to
circulate the policy within various departments who are also
involved in enforcement of codes. The policy will relate to
response to all complaints, both anonymous and named.
5. FINAL MYLAR FOR AWBREY BUTTE PHASE IV FOR BROOKS RESOURCES
MAUDLIN: I move signature of the final mylar for Awbrey
Butte. Phase IV.

6. RESOLUTION NO. 87-052
Before the Board was signature of Resolution No. 87-052,
declaring the week of October 3 through 10 as Recycling
Awareness Week.
PRANTE: I will entertain a motion to sign Resolution No.
87-052.

PRANTE: Second.

7. CONTRACT WITH LAPINE FIRE DISTRICT FOR CHILD SAFETY SEATS
This item was postponed for one week to await receipt of the
certificate of insurance for the LaPine Fire District.
8. WEEKLY WARRANT VOUCHERS
The total amount of weekly bills was $216.571.49.
MAUDLIN: I move signature of the weekly warrant vouchers
subject to review.
