WHEREAS, effective July 30, 1987, each school participating
in the United States Department of Agriculture National School
Lunch /Breakfast or Commodity Food Program must have a complete
sanitation inspection of its food service facilities by a health
department or registered sanitarian every school year; and
WHEREAS, various school districts in Deschutes County have
expressed an interest in having such food service facility
sanitation inspections performed by registered sanitarians in the
Deschutes County Environmental Health Department; and
WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Environmental Health Depart-
ment registered sanitarians are willing to provide the schools
with sanitation inspections of the food service facilities within
the resources and time available; and
WHEREAS, Deschutes County has not previously provided school
food service facility sanitation inspections and has not estab-
lished a fee for such inspections; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That for purposes of this resolution, a "full
service food service facility" is one which has complete kitchen
facilities, including refrigeration and heating appliances and
water service. For purpose of this resolution, a "limited
service food service facility" is any other type of food service
facility.
Section 2. That when a sanitation inspection of a school
full service food service facility is performed, the fee for the
inspection shall be $100.00
Section 3. That when a sanitation inspection of a school
limited service food service facility is performed, the fee for
the inspection shall be $50.00
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect on
February 15, 1988.

AGREEMENT
This Agreement is entered into by and between
("School") and Deschutes
County ( "County "), a political subdivision of the State of
Oregon, for the purpose of a sanitation inspection of the school
food service facilities. This Agreement provides the obligations
and responsibilities of the parties to this Agreement.
This Agreement covers the period beginning February 15,
1988, and ending June 30, 1988.
School and County do mutually agree:
1. County, through its Environmental Health Department,
upon request, will conduct sanitation inspections of
school food service facilities in the district in
accordance with OAR 581 -51 -200 through 581 -51 -330 of
the rules adopted by the Oregon Department of Education
relating to School Food Service Sanitation Standards,
which rules are incorporated herein by this reference.
2. County will furnish a copy of the Inspection Form (581-
3652) to the building principal, the superintendent,
and the Oregon Department of Education, Child Nutrition
and Food Distribution Programs, promptly upon comple-
tion of the inspection.
3. Epidemiological investigations will be performed by
County when necessary.
4. School agrees to pay and County agrees to accept
$100.00 per inspection of full service food service
facility and $50.00 per inspection for limited service
food serve facility. For purposes of this Agreement, a
"full service food service facility" is one which has
complete kitchen facilities, including refrigeration
and heating appliances and water service. A "limited
service food service facility" is any other type of
food service facility.
County will present a bill upon completion of the
inspection. School will submit payment to the County
within 30 days after receipt of the bill.
5. This Agreement may be terminated by either party upon
submission to the other party of written notice at
least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of
termination.
