WHEREAS, Deschutes County was awarded $592,000.00 in lottery
funds under a grant from the Oregon Economic Development Commis-
sion's Regional Strategy Program; and
WHEREAS, a grant fund has been established and funds appro-
priated; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $113,010.00 need be expended
for grant eligible activities prior to the receipt of grant
funds; and
WHEREAS, the Transient Room Tax Fund has sufficient surplus
to meet said expenses in the Regional Strategy Grant Fund; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the Deschutes County Treasurer is hereby
authorized to transfer funds, the aggregate not to exceed ONE
HUNDRED THIRTEEN THOUSAND AND TEN DOLLARS ($113,010.00), from the
Transient Room Tax Fund to the Regional Strategy Grant Fund to be
used for grant eligible expenditures in said fund.
Section 2. Said loan is to be repaid to the Transient Room
Tax Fund from reimbursement from the State of Oregon Regional
Strategies Program.
Section 3. That the Treasurer is hereby directed to make
such entries in the records of the County for the fiscal year
1988 -89 as are necessary to reflect these transactions.
