DECISION ON LANGNESS BOAT SLIP
The Board convened to announce a decision on an appeal of
the hearings officer's decision on a conditional use
application for a boat slip. The original appeal hearing
had been held on Wednesday, July 27, 1988.
Commissioner Prante felt that under the current fill and
removal ordinance, the boat slip could not be approved due
to the requirement of a "no impacts" letter from the Oregon
Department of Fish and Wildlife as set out by the ordinance.
THROOP: I move to sustain the hearings officer's decision.
PRANTE: Second.
VOTE: THROOP: YES
PRANTE: YES
MAUDLIN: YES
After further discussion on this appeal, it was decided to
postpone the final decision in order to possibly include
additional findings to the original hearings officer's
decision.
THROOP: I'll move that we vacate the decision on the
Langness appeal and reschedule for decision for 10 a.m.
