Chairman Maudlin called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. Board
members in attendance were Dick Maudlin, Lois Bristow Prante, and
Tom Throop. Also present were Rick Isham, County Legal Counsel,
and Denny Maloney, Juvenile Director.

,CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS
Consent agenda items before the Board consisted of item #1,
signature of an intergovernmental agreement with the Oregon
Health Sciences University; #2, signature of State Health
Division grant revision 1; #3, signature of personal
services contract with JRH Transportation; #4, signature of
Order No. 88-065, accepting a portion of Ladera Road as a
County Road; #5, chair signature of liquor license renewals
for Deschutes River Trout House, Wickiup Junction, The
Rendezvous, Baker's Grocery, LaPine Mini -Mart, and Canyon
Club Restaurant.

AWARD OF
ENGINE ANALYZER
Before the Board was a request from Public Works Director
Larry Rice to award the bid for a computer engine analyzer
to Allen Testproducts in Tukwila, Washington. They had come
in with the highest bid of $16,450, but was the only bidder
who met specifications.

analyzer.

4. DEDICATION AND ACCEPTANCE OF RIGHT-OF-WAY
Before the Board was a declaration of dedication of a 30 -
foot strip of property from the County to the public, and
acceptance of a strip of land for right-of-way purposes from
Howard and Kathryn Peacock.

dedication.

5. INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH EXTENSION SERVICE
Before the Board was signature of the intergovernmental
agreement with the OSU Extension Service for services that
would be provided by the Extension Services.

6. RESOLUTION NO. 88-063
Before the Board was signature of Resolution No. 88-063,

7. CENTRAL OREGON YOUTH CONSERVATION CORPS
Denny Maloney, Director of the Juvenile Department, attended
the meeting to update the Board on the resolution of an
issue that had arisen with the Central Oregon Youth
Conservation Corps. The Board agreed with the proposal
and asked Denny to draft a written policy.
