1988-27209-Minutes for Meeting November 14,1988 Recorded 11/22/1988t 88-27209 0004 052,6 WORK SESSION MINUTES 64, DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSION November 14, 1988 Chairman Maudlin called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. Board members in attendance were Dick Maudlin, Lois Bristow Prante, and Tom Throop. Also present were Rick Isham, County Legal Counsel; and Anne Van Dusen, Mental Health Director. 1. UPGRADING MENTAL HEALTH POSITION TO FULL TIME Before the Board position in the D per week to full currently funded additional hours Grant. was approval of increasing Candace Gomber's evelopmentally Disabled program from 19 hours time until June 30, 1989. The position was through a Supported Preschool grant and the would be funded through the Family Support PRANTE: I would move that we approve the full-time position as requested by Mental Health. ORDER NO. 88-075, SALE OF FORECLOSED PROPERTY TO PETER BROCKMAN, RECORD OWNER, AND BARGAIN AND SALE DEED Before the Board was signature of Order No. 88-075, providing for the sale of foreclosed property to Peter Brockman, owner of record, since the County had received payment for past due taxes, penalties, deed costs, recording fees and administrative fees in the amount of $78,526.75. Also before the Board was signature of Bargain and Sale Deed for said property to Pine Rock Corporation, now known as Treetop Ry. Co. PRANTE: I will move that we sign the papers for Peter Brockman to return his property to him. THROOP: I'll second the motion. LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWAL FOR VERRAZANO'S IN SUNRIVER PLAZA Before the Board was chair signature of Liquor License Renewal for Verrazano's in Sunriver Plaza. PRANTE: Move chair signature. ROSE SURFACE MINING SITE PROPOSED GEOLOGIST Bob Lovlien came before the Board asking whether it would be a conflict of interest for Bob Deacon, the geologist contracted by the County, to be hired by representatives of the Rose surface mining site. The Board, after discussion with Rick Isham, determined that it might be considered a conflict and that another geologist should be found for the Rose site.
