DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
July 12, 1989
Chair Prante called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. Board
members in attendance were Dick Maudlin and Lois Bristow Prante.
Also present were Rick Isham, County Counsel and George Read,
Interim Planning Director.
1. CONSENT AGENDA
Consent agenda items before the Board were: #1, reappointment
of Bruce Bailey to the Solid Waste Advisory Committee; #2,
chair signature of Law Enforcement Data Systems User Agreement
with the State Executive Department; #3,. chair signature of
Hardware Maintenance agreement with First Choice Computer

2. PUBLIC HEARING: ORDINANCE 89-016 EXCEPTION TO MOBILE HOME
PLACEMENT STANDARDS FOR HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE MOBILE HOMES
Before the Board was a Public Hearing on Ordinance 89-016,
Amending PL-5, the County Zoning Ordinance to allow exceptions
to the Mobile Home Placement Standards for handicapped
accessible mobile homes. An exception would be allowed for
handicapped accessible mobile homes when the applicant had
owned both the mobile home and the lot prior to the adoption
of Ordinance 89-004 on February 22, 1989.

OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL EXPENSES
Before the Board was approval of out-of-state travel expenses
for a County building official. Expenses paid would be
equivalent to the least expensive travel option. If the
employee were to choose another mode of transportation, he
would have to make up the difference.
MAUDLIN: I move approval of out-of-state travel expense for
building official.

BARGAIN AND SALE DEED FOR THE WILRERSONS AND WALLACES

Convening as the governing body for the Deschutes County
Extension and 4-H Service District, the Board considered
signature of Resolution 89-065, transferring appropriations
in the amount of $1,300 within the 1988-89 Deschutes County
Extension and 4-H Service District Budget, Nunc Pro Tunc
June 30, 1989.
