A Resolution Declaring Tuesday, October 10, 1989, as Children's Day Deschutes County, Oregon. * REVIEWED GON Y CC r 98�; RESOLUTION NO . 89-086 R�J SU is . . /0 F PF f' passed a resolution creating a Na .CO to Mother's and Father's Day; and CCK WHEREAS, Congress Children's Day similar WHEREAS, the State of Oregon has designated Tuesday, October 10, 1989, as Children's Day within the State of Oregon; and WHEREAS, state and local celebrations publicly cheering the contributions our children make in our lives and acknowledging their tremendous potential will be held throughout the state and local communities on Tuesday, October 10, 1989; and WHEREAS, Children's Day represents an exciting opportunity for us to talk with our children and ask them for their ideas, thoughts and insights, which can be very enlightening to us in planning programs and seeking solutions to problems; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, encourages day care centers, schools, youth organizations, local government entities and private businesses within Deschutes County to join the Board in celebrating Child- ren's Day and plan special Children's Day activities acknowledg- ing the contributions and potentials of these young citizens; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: Section 1.
