WHEREAS, a final hearing regarding the formation of the
LaPine Park and Recreation District was held on October 23, 1989,
and
WHEREAS, one hundred and eighty three (183) requests for an
election were filed by resident voters within the proposed dis-
trict boundary; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY,
OREGON, ORDERS, as follows:
Section 1. That an election be held for voters resident
within the territory described in this section on March 27, 1990,
to vote on the formation of the LaPine Park and Recreation
District proposed to be formed for the purpose of providing park
and recreation facilities and services pursuant to ORS 266.010 to
266.590, within the territory described in Exhibit "All and
depicted on the map marked Exhibit 11B,11 attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein.
Section 2. That an election be held on the same date for
the purpose of electing the five (5) at -large member Board of
Directors of the District.
Section 3. That notice of nominations for candidates for
membership on the Board of the District be published on or before
December 16, 1989, as provided for by ORS 255.075. Candidates
for District Board positions must file with the County Elections
Officer not later than January 25, 1990.
Section 4. That notice of election on the question of
District formation be published as provided in ORS 255.085, and
by an additional notice as provided in ORS 198.815.
