EXECUTIVE SESSION MINUTES

Chair Throop called the Executive Session to order at 12:30 p.m.
by authority of ORS 190.660(1)(a) to discuss the hiring of a Mental
Health Director. Board members in attendance were Dick Maudlin,
Tom Throop, and Lois Bristow Prante. Also present were Rick Isham,
County Legal Counsel; Mike Maier, Director of Administrative
Services; and Dave Stone, Reporter from the Bulletin.
Mike Maier gave information to the Board regarding input from the
screening committee, the Mental Health Department program managers,
and from a representative for the staff.
The Board discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the finalists.
The consensus candidate was contacted to see if he would accept the
position.
