1990-06431-Resolution No. 90-019 Recorded 3/8/199090 -0643t R£Vi£ D I 166 BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE 911 COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT A Resolution Providing for the Calling of a 911 County Service District Election in Deschutes County, Oregon, on May 15, 1990, for the Purpose of Submitting to * the Qualified Voters of Deschutes * County, Oregon, the question of Authorizing a Three -Year Serial Levy Outside the Limitation on Taxation Set Forth in Article XI, * Section 11, Oregon Constitution; and Providing a Ballot Title. RESOLUTION 90 -019 ( WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschute§ County, Oregon, acting as the governing body of the 911 County Service District has determined that a three -year serial levy outside the limitation of Article XI, Section 11, Oregon Con- stitution should be submitted to the District electors in order to permit the proper operation of District affairs; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to submit the question of authoriz- ing a three -year serial levy to the legal voters of the District; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE 911 COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT as follows: Section 1. Date of Election. The measure set forth in Section 2 of this Resolution shall be submitted in the manner prescribed herein to the qualified voters of the 911 County Service District at a special election to be held May 15, 1990, the statewide primary election. Section 2. Form of Ouestion. At the serial levy election, there shall be submitted to the legal voters of Deschutes County, Oregon, for their approval or rejection, the following measure: Title: 911 Serial Levy Question: Shall 911 levy $275,000 each year for three years outside tax base for police, fire, medical com- munication system beginning 1990/91? Explanation: Measure allows a $275,000 tax levy each year for three years. Total amount of money raised by levy is $825,000. The levy is outside the limitation imposed by Section 11, Article XI, Oregon Constitution. The estimated tax impact of this measure is 9.2 cents per thousand dollars of assessed valuation. The estimated tax cost for this measure is an ESTIMATE ONLY based on the best information available from the county assessor at the time of estimate. Section 3. Notice. The county clerk shall give notice of the election as provided in the general election laws. Section 4. Filing.
