1990-27641-Resolution No. 90-090 Recorded 9/13/1990-� 90 -27641 P.EV1EWE I ',,...., let: 10 4 � BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES A Resolution Declaring September 13, 1990, as Volunteer Appreciation Day in Deschutes County, Oregon. * * RESOLUTION NO. 90 -090 T OREGON iiCRIMED SEP 2 7 1990 WHEREAS, from early community barn - raisings to contemporary community groups, one common trait is unique among the American people -- the desire to help one's neighbor through volunteer service; and WHEREAS, this desire to help one's neighbor extends to hundreds and hundreds of persons in Deschutes County; and WHEREAS, volunteers working through their church, service club, business organization, non - profit agencies and government provide essential services to the citizens of Deschutes County; and WHEREAS, the quality of all our lives here in Central Oregon is enhanced by the volunteer community service of these persons; and WHEREAS, Deschutes County and the Network of Volunteer Administrators recognize the significant role these community volunteers play, whether it is bringing meals to the elderly, serving on a local board, clearing trails, providing transporta- tion or other forms of community involvement; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners hereby proclaims September 13, 1990, as Deschutes County Volunteer Appreciation Day in honor of these dedicated persons who have contributed so much to our community and residents through the volunteering of their time, talent and energy. Section 2.
