ORDER NO. 90-119
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 90-082 provided for a hearing for
the exchange of contingent future interests between Deschutes
County, the Ray Johnson Post #44, American Legion Department of
Oregon, and the City of Redmond; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held on October 3, 1990; and
WHEREAS, ORS 275.100 requires that the Board of County
Commissioners authorize the exchange of lands after hearing by
Order; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY,
OREGON, ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. That the properties described in Section 1 of
Resolution No. 90-082, marked Exhibit "A," attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein, are of equal value.
Section 2. That the exchange of such properties is in the
best interests of the County.
Section 3. That title to said properties be reviewed and
approved by Deschutes County Legal Counsel.
Section 4. That upon review and approval of title by
Deschutes County Legal Counsel, the exchange of contingent future
interests as referenced is hereby authorized.

NOTICE OF HEARING
On Wednesday, October 3, 1990, at 10:00 a.m. in the Deschutes
County Juvenile Justice Building, Bend, Oregon, the Board of
County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, will hold a
hearing on an exchange of contingent future interests between
Deschutes County, Ray Johnson Post #44, American Legion, Depart-
ment of Oregon and the City of Redmond.
Deschutes County intends to transfer to the American Legion a
reversionary interest it holds on property known as the Legion
Hall and situated in the City of Redmond, Deschutes County,
Oregon, described as:
The North half (N 1/2) of Lot Ten (10), and all of Lots
Eleven (11) and Twelve (12) in Block Sixty-seven (67)
of the original townsite of the City of Redmond, accor-
ding to the official plat thereof now on file in the
office of the County Clerk, of Deschutes County,
Oregon.
The American Legion intends to transfer to the City of Redmond a
reversionary interest it holds on the real property known as Ray
Johnson Park and situated in the City of Redmond, Deschutes
County, Oregon, described as:
Blocks Five (5), Six (6), Seventeen (17) and Eighteen
(18) of Redmond Townsite Company's Second Addition to
the City of Redmond, according to the official map and
plat thereon filed in the office of the County Clerk of
Deschutes County, Oregon.
The City of Redmond agrees to transfer to Deschutes County a
reversionary interest it holds on the real property known as
Bowlby Field and situated in Deschutes County, Oregon, described
as:
Commencing at the West quarter (W 1/4) corner of Sec-
tion 16, Township 15 South, Range 13 E.W.M., the ini-
tial point; thence N 000 01' 00" E along the line
common to said Section 16 and Section 17, Township 15
South, Range 13 E.W.M., 112.00 feet to a 30.07 -foot
Westerly extension of the southernmost property line,
bearing N 85° 02' 10" E continue 30.07 feet to the True
Point of Beginning; thence N 85° 02' 10" E along said
southernmost property line - 72.83 feet to the south-
east property corner; thence bearing N 170 05' 53" E -
203.38 feet to a point; thence bearing N 560 11' 51" E
- 564.27 feet to a point; thence bearing north - 34.78
feet to the northeast property corner; thence bearing
