WHEREAS, Deschutes County has purchased a new Sequoi' -- ti,)
computer to handle its data processing needs; and ;;?,�
WHEREAS, the County's Honeywell /Ultimate computer, Serial
No. NE5947 and Paradyne DCX840 and expansion cabinet, Serial Nos.
6811 -009 and 2748523, respectively, are no longer needed by the
County; and
WHEREAS, it appearing that the sale of the equipment no
longer needed would best be made by private sale to the purchaser
offering to pay the highest dollar amount for any or all of the
surplus equipment; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the Honeywell /Ultimate computer Serial No.
No. NE5947 and Paradyne DCX840 and expansion cabinet, Serial Nos.
6811 -009 and 2748523 are hereby declared to be surplus property.
Section 2. That Dave Peterson, Data Processing Manager, is
hereby authorized and directed to negotiate the sale of the
surplus equipment to the highest and best bidder.
Section 3. That any negotiated sale of equipment first be
approved by Mike Maier, Director of Administrative Services,
before entering into any contract for the sale of the equipment.
