WHEREAS, the Deschutes County Engineer has presented th'e-Bo rd of
County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, an Engineer"steport
on the proposed vacation of a parcel of land in Tract 18 Reed Highway
Acreage, Section 2 (portion of Parrell Road) located in the Northeast
1/4 of Section 8, Township 18 South, Range 12 East W.M. located in
Deschutes County, Oregon,, located in Deschutes County, Oregon,
recommending vacation of said road; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON,
ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. That the Engineer's Report relating to the vacation of
a certain dedicated public right of way known as a portion of Parrell
Road be accepted and hereby approved.
Section 2. That on Wednesday, June 26, 1991 at 10:00 a.m. at the
Deschutes County Juvenile Justice Center, Conference Room "A", Bend,
Oregon 97701, the Board will hold a hearing to determine whether the
above-described public property, described in Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, should be vacated.
Section 3. Notice of said hearing shall be posted in no less than
three (3) places, including the property proposed to be vacated, or
property within the vicinity of the property proposed to be vacated.
This notice shall be posted at least 20 days prior to the hearing. Said
notices must be visible from traveled public roads.
Section 4. Property owners of record abutting the property proposed
to be vacated shall be notified by Certified Mail, return receipt
requested, at least 30 days prior to said hearing.
Section 5. All public utilities and municipalities affected by the
proposed vacation shall be notified by Certified Mail, return receipt
requested, at least 30 days prior to said hearing.

Section 6. Notice of the hearing, in substantially the form marked
Exhibit "B", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein,
of such hearing shall be published at least twenty (20) days before, and
within ten (10) days of the date of said hearing.

FOR PROPOSED VACATION OF A
PORTION OF PARRELL ROAD
A parcel of land located in the Northeast One -Quarter of the
Northeast One -Quarter of Section 8, Township 18 South, Range
12 East of the Willamette Meridian, in Deschutes County,
Oregon, being that portion of the Dalles-California Highway
(Parrell Road) more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Tract 18,
REED HIGHWAY ACREAGE SECTION 2; thence along the
Northerly extension of the Northerly line of said
Tract 18, North 22° 00' 00" East, 14.36 feet;
thence South 440 34' 58" East, 119.03 feet; thence
South 081 21, 29" East, 30.75 feet; thence along
the arc of a 530.00 foot radius curve left (the
long chord of which bears South 250 46, 24" West,
112.94 feet) a distance of 113.15 feet to a point
on the Easterly line of said Tract 18; thence
along said Easterly line along the arc of a 256.50
foot radius curve left (the long chord of which
bears North 100 04, 03" West, 187.80 feet) a
distance of 192.27 feet; thence continuing along
said Easterly line, North 310 32, 30" West, 21.91
feet to the point of beginning.
SUBJECT TO the reservation of a utilities easement in and

SUBJECT: ENGINEER'S REPORT RELATING TO THE VACATION OF A
PARCEL OF LAND IN TRACT 18 REED HIGHWAY ACREAGE,
SECTION 2 LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION
8, TOWNSHIP 18 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST W.M. LOCATED IN
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON.
1. Property proposed for vacation is owned by Deschutes
County and has been abandoned by the Parrell Road
improvement project.
2. It is the Engineer's assessment that the proposed
vacation is in the public interest as the parcel
is not required for road purposes.
3. The following other pertinent facts were considered
in making this report: The entire area should be
subject to utility easement as several utilities are
located within the parcel.
