WHEREAS, a petition requesting a vacation of all that portion of
the abandoned 60 foot right of way of Knott Road located in the SW 1/4
of the SW 1/4 of Section 14, Township 18 South, Range 12 E. W.M.,
described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein, was filed with the Board of County Commissioners
of Deschutes County, Oregon, on July 3, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners declared its intent to
vacate said Road by Resolution No. 91-068, dated July 3, 1991; and
WHEREAS, notice of hearing was given in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held on August 14, 1991 to consider the
proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that it is in the public interest to
vacate the public property; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON,
ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. That the property, described in Exhibit "A", is hereby
vacated.
Section 2. That Deschutes County requested that this road be
vacated, and therefore payment of costs is waived.
Section 3. That the Deschutes County Surveyor is directed to mark
the.plat, if any, as provided in ORS 271.230.
Section 4. That this Order shall be recorded with the Deschutes
County Clerk, and copies shall be filed with the Deschutes County
Surveyor and County Assessor.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
FOR KNOTT ROAD (PORTION) VACATION
All that portion of the abandoned sixty foot Right of Way of
Knott Road lying within the following described parcel.
A parcel of land, situated in the Southwest 1/4 of the
Southwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 18 South, Range 12 East
W.M., Deschutes County, Oregon being more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the 2" diameter aluminum cap that marks the
West 1/16 corner between said Section 14 and Section 23, said
West 1/16 corner being the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North
00 47' 42" West 189.32 feet to a point on the Southerly Right
of Way of Bobcat Road; thence 204.01 feet along the arc of
50.00 foot radius curve that is convex West, the long chord
of which bears North 191 14' 32" West 89.19 feet; thence
along the Northerly Right of Way of Bobcat Road North 44° 31,
33" East 39.66 feet; thence leaving said Right of Way North
01 47' 42" West 327.75 feet to a point on the southerly Right
of Way of Rickard Road; thence along said Right of Way North
690 17' 49" West 19.32 feet; thence 74.75 feet along the arc
of a 50.00 foot radius curve to the left, the long chord of
which bears South 670 521 18" West 67.98 feet to a point on
the easterly Right of Way of Knott Road; thence along said
Right of Way 984.65 feet along the arc of a 1140.00 foot
radius curve to the right, the long chord of which bears
South 490 47, 05" West 954.33 feet to a point on the South
line of said Section 14; thence along said South section line
North 890 37' 07" East 818.55 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Contains 4.64 Acres
SUBJECT TO the reservation of a utilities easement in and
upon all of the property; for the purposes of continuing,
constructing, installing, maintaining, repairing,
reconstructing, replacing, enlarging and altering; wires,
poles, pipes, lines, structures, casings supports, equipment,
facilities and appurtenances; at the present and in the
future; necessary or convenient; to Deschutes County, a
political subdivision of the State of Oregon, its agents,
licensees and permittees; forever.
