1991-26361-Resolution No. 91-081 Recorded 9/4/1991REVIEWED LEG COUNS BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTE3 COUN ,-OR& bN-- 9 /SEP A Resolution Calling a Special Election on November 5, 1991, to Submit to the Voters the Question of Issuing General Obligation Bonds in an Amount of Not More than $9,500,000 to Finance Jail Facilities and Adopting a Notice of County Measure Election. q/-db3(91 RESOLUTION NO. 91 -081 0107 0918 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon (the "Board ") (hereinafter referred to as "County "), has determined that there is a need to acquire and construct jail and related facilities for the County (the "Facilities "); and WHEREAS, upon notice duly given, the Board conducted a public hearing on September 3, 1991, in accordance with ORS 287.055; and WHEREAS, the costs of the Facilities are estimated to be not more than $9,500,000; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: Section 1. A special election is hereby called for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the County the question of contracting a general obligation bonded indebtedness in the name of the County in a sum not to exceed $9,500,000. Bond proceeds will be used to acquire property, finance costs of the Facilities, and to pay costs incidental thereto. The bonds shall mature over a period of not more than twenty (20) years. Section 2. The special election hereby called shall be held in the County on November 5, 1991. The election shall be conducted by the Deschutes County Clerk. Section 3. The following shall be the ballot title for the measure submitted to the electors thereof: DESCHUTES (Name of county) County, Oregon. County will build j ail cells to lock -up a minimum of 100 additional convicted criminals. New jail facilities will eliminate current early release of prisoners.
