WHEREAS, on the 6th day of November, 1991, The Board of County
Commissioners held a hearing in the Deschutes County Juvenile
Justice Building, Bend, Oregon, on the issue of whether or not a
certain Terrier cross and a certain medium black kept by Michelle
and William Doty engaged in the killing, wounding, injuring or
chasing of livestock; and
WHEREAS, any dog not under the control of its owner or keeper
found chasing livestock not on the property of such owner or keeper
shall be prima facie deemed to be engaged in killing, wounding,
injuring, or chasing of livestock; and
WHEREAS, the Board finding that said dogs were not chasing
livestock; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the certain dogs described in Officer
Hurley's report dated November 5, 1991 as a Terrier cross dog and
a medium black dog kept by Michelle and William Doty impounded at
the Redmond Humane Society shelter be released.
