COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Section 1. That Section 9, Limitation of Number of Terms, of
Ordinance No. PL -1, as amended, is further amended to reac}, �lq5s
"SECTION 9. LIMITATION OF NUMBER OF TERMS. Subject to section 18
of this Ordinance, [M]members who have served two (2) consecutive terms
shall not be eligible for appointment for a period of four (4) years
from the termination date of the last term, except that a member
appointed to fill an unexpired portion of a term which is less than two
(2) years may be appointed for two (2) additional terms.
Section 2. A new section 18 is added to PL -1 as follows:
"SECTION 18. LIMITED REAPPOINTMENTS. Notwithstanding Sections 3
and Section 9 of this Ordinance, the Board of County Commissioners may
reappoint for a period of up to six months a member who otherwise would
not under Section 9 be entitled to reappointment. Such limited
reappointments shall occur only in instances where the Board finds that
the member has participated as the Planning Commission's representative
in a technical advisory group concerning a legislative planning process
extending beyond the end of the member's term."
Section 3. This Ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this Ordinance takes effect on its passage.
