Date of Election. The measure set forth in Section 2 of this Resolution shall be submitted in the manner prescribed herein to the qualified voters of the Deschutes County 9-1-1 County Service District (District) at a special election to be held June 29, 1993. Section 2. Form of Question. At the serial levy election, there shall be submitted to the legal voters of the District, for their approval or rejection, the following measure: CAPTION TWO-YEAR OPERATING SERIAL LEVY. The proposed two-year serial levy will replace a prior levy that ends in June 1993. The total amount to be raised by the two-year serial levy for 9-1-1 operation purposes is $794,000.00. This amount of proposed taxes is outside the limitation imposed by Section 11, Article XI, Oregon Constitution. This tax is subject to the other governmental purposes limit of Section 11(b), Article XI, of the Oregon Constitution. Approval of this measure would not reduce the property tax collections of other non -school district units of local government available under the provisions of Section 11(b), Article XI, Oregon Constitution and implementing legislation. The revenues raised will be used exclusively for other governmental purposes. The estimated tax impact of this measure is 7 cents per thousand dollars of assessed valuation. The estimated tax cost for this measure is an ESTIMATE ONLY based on the best information available from the county assessor at the time of the estimate. Section 3. Notice. The county clerk shall give notice of the election as provided in the general election laws. Section 4. Filing.
