Board members present were Tom Throop, Nancy Pope Schlangen, and Barry Slaughter. Also in attendance were Larry Rice, Director of Public Works; Paul Blikstad, Planner; Rick Isham, Legal Counsel; Bruce White, Assistant Legal Counsel; George Read, Planning Director and Dale Van Valkenburg, Planner. 1. CONSENT AGENDA Consent agenda items before the Board were: 1) acceptance of three warranty deeds for right-of-way on Butler Market Road; 2) signature of mylar for Gene Carsey MP -91-15, property located at Deschutes Junction; 3) Order No.93-140 amending Order No. 93-058 regarding Blue Eagle Road vacation; 4) Order No. 93-105 setting hearing to dissolve Road District No. 4; 5) Order No. 93-103 setting hearing to dissolve Deschutes Pines Sanitary District; 6) Order No. 93-102 setting hearing to dissolve Hillman Addition Sanitary District; 7) Order No. 93- 104 setting hearing to dissolve Morgan Special Road District; and 8) signature of mylar for The Willows, Phase I. APPROVAL OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGER/GENERAL CONTRACTOR FOR THE JAIL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Before the Board was a request for approval of Hoffman Construction, Portland, Oregon, to be the Construction Manager/General Contractor for the new Deschutes County Correctional project. Greg Brown reported that Hoffman Construction is an employee owned construction company and have proved their construction ability. Paul Blikstad reported this ordinance was not ready for final approval. The public hearing will be continued to May 19, 1993. RESOLUTION NO. 93-038 PROCLAIMING MAY 1993 AS MENTAL HEALTH MONTH Before the Board was Resolution No. 93-038, proclaiming May 1993 as Mental Health Month.
