WHEREAS, Deschutes County has

Facility; and
WHEREAS, as Construction Manager, Hoffman Construction Company of
Oregon will be receiving bids for portions of the work from numerous
subcontractors who will perform work within areas of their specialties;
and
WHEREAS, ORS 279.033 authorizes the exemption of certain contracts
from the requirement that a bid bond be furnished; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds it in the public
interest to exempt such contracts pursuant to ORS 279.033; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That all contracts bid by Hoffman Construction
Company of Oregon on behalf of and for the benefit of Deschutes County
related to the construction of the new Deschutes County Correctional
Facility be exempt from the requirements that a bid bond be furnished
in accordance with ORS 279.033.
