1993-37103-Order No. 93-206 Recorded 10/14/1993BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON 93 OCT!', r' • rb An Order Adopting a Map of the Deschutes River * - t No Shooting Corridor. * 93~37103 U128 -024U ORDER NO. 93-206 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners enacted Ordinance 93-050 designating certain segments of the Deschutes River as a no shooting corridor; and WHEREAS, Section 2 of that Ordinance directs that the Board adopt a map for filing with the County Clerk suitable for reproduction; and WHEREAS, the Board finds that the map attached hereto as Exhibit A accurately maps the boundaries of the Deschutes River No Shooting Corridor; now, therefore, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, ORDERS as follows: Section 1. That pursuant to Section 2 of Ordinance 93-050, the map attached hereto as Exhibit A is adopted as the official map of the Deschutes River No Shooting Corridor, to be filed with the Deschutes County Clerk. SLAUGHT R, Commissioner 1 - ORDER NO. 93-206 (10/13/93) „ :r., F"OFi uvl ED KEYP 1993 DESCHUTES RIVER NO SHOOTING CORRIDOR Deschutes County law and a Deschutes National Forest order restrict use of firearms along segments of the Deschutes River marked on this map as a "No Shooting Area" Firing any kind of firearm Is prohibited In no shooting areas except by a peace officer acting in the line of duty or by a person acting to defend life or property. Hunters may not shoot firearms while hunting within no shooting areas. No shooting areas include the beds and banks of the Deschutes River, islands and lands within 150 yards of the ordinary high water mark of the river. No shooting areas are posted with signs on both sides of the river. However, shooters are responsible for determining whether or not they are within a restricted area before they shoot° Public cooperation in maintaining posted signs Is appreciated. Lands within subdivisions west of the Deschutes River between Harper Bridge and General Patch Bridge are also closed to shooting. Violation of no shooting restrictions is a Class A infraction, punishable by a fine of up to $500.
