RESOLUTION NO. 94-029
WHEREAS, the owners of property abutting the proposed improvement
of Seminole Circle in Deschutes River Woods Subdivision, in Deschutes
County, Oregon, have requested the Board of County Commissioners to
improve this road; and
WHEREAS, it appears that such road should be improved; and
WHEREAS, it appears that it is in the public interest that the
Public Works Department of Deschutes County, Oregon, perform required
engineering and surveying for this improvement; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That proceedings be initiated to improve Seminole
Circle to Deschutes County Rural Local Road Standards for the benefit
of the area described in Exhibit "A" and shown on the map Exhibit "C",
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
Section 2. That the dedicated road be improved within the
district described in Section 1 of this Resolution is described in
Exhibit "B" and shown on the map Exhibit "C", attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein.
Section 3. Improvements to be made to the roadway within the
district include all or part of, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Mobilization - normal mobilization costs incurred in
preparation of the work.

2. Traffic Control - signs and flaggers will be provided to
warn, safeguard, protect, guide and inform the public and the
workers.
3. Subgrade - a minimal amount of earthwork will be required to
construct Subgrade. There will be some construction required
to provide proper drainage.
4. Base - placing, shaping, compacting and fine grading of base.
An eight (8) inch depth of compacted cinder base will be
utilized. The finished width shall be thirty-two feet
measured between the edge of shoulders.
5. Paving - the paving will be an 0-9 Asphaltic Penetration
Macadam (Oil Mat). The pavement will be twenty-four (24)
feet in width.
6. Engineering and Administration - County expenses in
preparation of plans and specifications, inspection,
surveying, accounting and payment collection and other
incidental costs required for Bancroft Bonding.
Section 4. The road(s) to be improved as a result of this
Resolution shall be improved to County Rural Local Road Standards.
Section 5. This Resolution shall hereby be referred to the County
Engineer for investigation of the proposed improvements in accordance
with ORS 371.625. The County Engineer may engage the services of any
qualified engineer for all or part of the investigation required under
ORS 371.625.
