Chair Schlangen called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m. Board" bf
County Commissioners in attendance were Nancy Pope Schlangen, Tom
Throop, and Barry Slaughter. Also in attendance were Tom Blust,
County Engineer; Susan Mayea, Support Services Manager; Rick Isham,
County Counsel; Brad Mulvihill, Community Corrections; and George
Read, Planning Director.
1. ECONOMIC LOTTERY GRANT FOR THE TOWER THEATER FEASIBILITY STUDY
Before the Board was a request from the Downtowners
Association for an Economic Lottery Grant in the amount of
$3,000 to help fund their feasibility study. The study was to
see if it was feasible to convert the Tower Theater into a
performance facility. The study will be completed by May 6,
1994.
THROOP: I move approval of this application by the
Regional Arts Counsel for the Video Lottery
Economic Development Funds for the Performing
Arts Feasibility Study for the Tower Theater.

2. INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN CHILDREN SERVICES DIVISION
AND DESCHUTES COUNTY COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Before the Board was an Intergovernmental Agreement between
Children Services Division and Deschutes County Commission on
Children and Families for Level 7 Children. The agreement
allows the Commission on Children & Families to contract for
services for Level 7 youth. The agreement is for a total of
approximately $185,000 for one year.
