BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON

the Killing of the Dog in a Humane Manner.
ORDER NO. 94-139
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of November, 1994, the Board of County
Commissioners held a hearing in the Deschutes County Juvenile Justice
Building, Bend, Oregon, on the issue of whether or not a certain chow -
type dog kept by Jeffery Scott Holland engaged in the killing,
wounding, injuring or chasing of livestock; and
WHEREAS, any dog not under the control of its owner or keeper
found chasing livestock not on the property of such owner or keeper
shall be prima facie deemed to be engaged in killing, wounding,
injuring, or chasing livestock; and t

offered testimony before the Board of Codfity Commissioners and the
Board having considered the evidence and testimony, and being fully
informed in the premises; and
WHEREAS, the Board finding that a certain chow -type dog kept by
Jeffery Scott Holland while on the premises of Stephen Lawrence Boe and
not under the control of its owner or keeper on or about October 31,
1994, engaged in the chasing of livestock; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the certain dog described as a chow -type dog
owned by Jeffery Scott Holland in the possession of the Deschutes
County Humane Society Shelter be killed in a humane manner.
Section 2. That the recording secretary cause to be mailed, by
certified mail, a true copy of this order to Jeffery Scott Holland,
16082 Old Juniper Road, Sisters, Oregon 97759.
