RESOLUTION NO. 94-111
WHEREAS, the owners of property abutting the proposed improvement
of a portion of Apache Road and a portion of Lakeview Drive located in
Deschutes River Woods Subdivision in Deschutes County, Oregon, have
requested the Board of County Commissioners to improve these roads; and
WHEREAS, it appears that such roads should be improved; and
WHEREAS, it appears that it is in the public interest that the
Public Works Department of Deschutes County, Oregon, perform the
required investigation for this improvement; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That proceedings be initiated to improve a portion of
Apache Road and a portion of Lakeview Drive to Deschutes County Rural
Local Road Standards for the benefit of the area described in Exhibit
"A", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
Section 2. That the dedicated roads to be improved within the
district described in Section 1 of this Resolution are Apache Road from
Baker Road to Lakeview Drive and Lakeview Drive from Apache Road to
Cinder Butte Road.
Section 3. The road(s) to be improved as a result of this
Resolution shall be improved to County Rural Local Road Standards.

Section 4. Improvements to be made to the roadway within the
district include all or part of, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Mobilization - normal mobilization costs incurred in
preparation of the work.
2. Traffic Control - signs and flaggers will be provided to
warn, safeguard, protect, guide and inform the public and the
workers.
3. Subgrade - Earthwork will be required to construct subgrade
and to provide proper drainage.
4. Base - placing, shaping, compacting and fine grading of base.
A six (6) inch depth of compacted aggregate base will be
utilized. The finished width shall be thirty-six (36) feet
measured between the edge of shoulders.
5. Paving - the paving will be an 0-9 Asphaltic Penetration
Macadam (Oil Mat) or 2" of Asphaltic Concrete (A.C.) paving.
The pavement will be twenty-eight (28) feet in width.
6. Engineering and Administration - County expenses in
preparation of plans and specifications, inspection,
surveying, interim financing, legal, accounting and payment
collection and other actual costs as described in Deschutes
County Code 12.48.041.
Section 5. This Resolution shall hereby be referred to the County
Engineer for investigation of the proposed improvements in accordance
with Deschutes County Code 12.48.150. The County Engineer may engage
the services of any qualified engineer for all or part of the
investigation required under Deschutes County Code 12.48.150.
