NIPPER, Commissioner K SHED JANE, 1995 41/ '991- .-1 0137-1919 EXHIBIT 1 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED BOND ELECTION Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, as the governing body of the Redmond Library County Service District (District) on the 25th day of January, 1995, at 10 a.m. in Hearings Room A, Juvenile Justice Building, 1128 NW Harriman, Bend, Oregon 97701, regarding the submission of the following question to the electors of the District at the election to be held March 28, 1995: REDMOND LIBRARY COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT, DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON CAPTION: GENERAL OBLIGATION LIBRARY SERVICE FACILITIES BONDS QUESTION: Shall the District be authorized to issue up to $2,000,000 of general obligation bonds for library service facilities? If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of Section llb, Article XI of the Oregon Constitution. PURPOSE: This measure authorizes the District to issue $2,000,000 of bonds to finance library service facilities, and to allow the District to acquire property, construct and remodel buildings, make improvements to real property, acquire furnishings, equipment, fixtures and software, and to pay related costs. Project will convert the Jesse Hill School in Redmond to a District Library facility. The bonds would be general obligations and would mature over a period of not more than 20 years. All interested persons are invited to attend and shall be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard. The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. For the deaf or hard of hearing, an interpreter or assistive listening system will be provided with 48 hours notice. Materials in alternate formats may be made available with 48 hours notice.
