NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED BOND ELECTION
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the Board of
County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, as the governing body of
the Redmond Library County Service District (District) on the 25th day of
January, 1995, at 10 a.m. in Hearings Room A, Juvenile Justice Building, 1128
NW Harriman, Bend, Oregon 97701, regarding the submission of the following
question to the electors of the District at the election to be held March 28,
1995:
REDMOND LIBRARY COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT,
DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON
CAPTION:
GENERAL OBLIGATION LIBRARY SERVICE FACILITIES BONDS
QUESTION:
Shall the District be authorized to issue up to $2,000,000 of
general obligation bonds for library service facilities? If the
bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or
property ownership that are not subject to the limits of Section
llb, Article XI of the Oregon Constitution.
PURPOSE:
This measure authorizes the District to issue $2,000,000 of
bonds to finance library service facilities, and to allow the
District to acquire property, construct and remodel buildings, make
improvements to real property, acquire furnishings, equipment,
fixtures and software, and to pay related costs. Project will
convert the Jesse Hill School in Redmond to a District Library
facility. The bonds would be general obligations and would mature
over a period of not more than 20 years.
All interested persons are invited to attend and shall be given a reasonable
opportunity to be heard.
The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. For the deaf or hard of
hearing, an interpreter or assistive listening system will be provided with
48 hours notice. Materials in alternate formats may be made available with
48 hours notice. To arrange for these services or for more information,
please contact Anita Mutchie at (503) 388-6570. For hearing impaired, call
