RESOLUTION NO. 95-045 WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioner of Deschutes County, Oregon (the "County"), has determined that there is a need to construct a Community Event Center; and WHEREAS, the costs are estimated to be $20,000,000, all of which are costs of capital construction or improvements or costs of issuing bonds; and WHEREAS, upon notice duly given, the Board conducted a public hearing on March 15, 1995, in accordance with ORS 287.055; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: Section 1. An election is hereby called for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the County the question of contracting a general obligation bonded indebtedness in the name of the County in a sum not to exceed $20,000,000 to finance a Community Event Center. The Center would contain facilities for community entertainment, cultural and sporting events, consumer shows, ice skating, and related facilities. Bond proceeds will allow the County to acquire property, construct buildings, make improvements to real property, acquire furnishings, equipment, fixtures and construct parking, and to pay related costs of a Community Event Center. The bonds shall mature over a period of not more than 20 years; Section 2. The election hereby called shall be held in the County on Tuesday, May 16, 1995. The election shall be conducted pursuant to ORS 254.465 et seq.; and Section 3. The County shall cause to be delivered to the Election Officer of Deschutes County, Oregon the attached Notice of Bond Election, not later than 61 days prior to the election.
