1995-25287-Resolution No. 95-111 Recorded 7/19/1995REVIEWED ~1 95-2528 LEG COUNSEL BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR DESCHUTES COUNTY, REGON ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE BEND LIBRARY F TTS l F, STRICT A Resolution Calling a Special Election to ) Submit to the Voters the Question of Contracting ) a General Obligation Bonded Indebtedness in the ) Amount of $7,950,000 to Finance Library ) Service Facilities. ) Resolution No. 95-111 Lt. 014 r roti 01 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon as the governing body of the Bend Library County Service District, Deschutes County, Oregon (the "District"), has determined that there is a need to finance library service facilities, and to allow the District to acquire property, construct and remodel buildings, make improvements to real property, acquire furnishings, equipment, fixtures, and automated technology and pay all costs incidental thereto; and WHEREAS, the costs are estimated to be $7,950,000, all of which are costs of capital construction or improvements or costs of issuing bonds; and WHEREAS, upon notice duly given, the Board conducted a public hearing on July 19, 1995, pursuant to ORS 451.545 and 287.055; now, therefore, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners for Deschutes County, Oregon, as the governing body of the Bend County Library Service District as follows: 1. A Special election is hereby called for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the District the question of contracting a general obligation bonded indebtedness in the name of the District in a sum not to exceed $7,950,000. Bond proceeds will be used to finance library facilities, and to allow the District to acquire property, construct and remodel buildings, make improvements to real property, acquire furnishings, equipment, fixtures, and automated technology and to pay all costs incidental thereto. The bonds shall mature over a period of not more than 20 years; 2. The Special election hereby called shall be held in the District on September 19, 1995. 3. The Board Secretary shall cause to be delivered to the Election Officer of Deschutes County, Oregon the attached Notice of Bond Election, not later than 61 days prior to the election.
