1995-31274-Resolution No. 95-124 Recorded 9/6/1995BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR REVIEWED LEG COUNSEL DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON A Resolution Calling a Special Election 0147-1761 To Submit to the Voters the Question of Issuing General Obligation Bonds in an Amount of Not More than $14,400,000 to Finance Public Safety Facil��t' �12i4 r RESOLUTION NO. 95-124" WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon (the "County"), has determined that there is a need to acquire property, construct, equip and furnish a Juvenile Detention Facility, a Community Corrections Building, a Juvenile Offender courtroom and Sheriff's facilities; and construct and install infrastructure, court facilities remodeling and the financing of all necessary related costs and improvements ("public safety facilities") pursuant to the County's Public Safety Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the costs are estimated to be $14,400,000, all of which are costs of capital construction or improvements or costs of issuing bonds; and WHEREAS, upon notice duly given, the Board conducted a public hearing on September 6, 1995, in accordance with ORS 287.055; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: Section 1. An election is hereby called for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the County the question of contracting a general obligation bonded indebtedness in the name of the County in a sum not to exceed $14,400,000 to finance public safety facilities. Bond proceeds will allow the County to acquire property, construct, equip and furnish a Juvenile Detention Facility, a Community Corrections Building, a Juvenile Offender courtroom and Sheriff's facilities; and construct and install infrastructure, court facilities remodeling and the financing of all necessary related costs and improvements. The bonds shall mature over a period of not more than 25 years. Section 2. The election hereby called shall be held in the County on Tuesday, November 7, 1995. The County shall cause to be delivered to the Election Officer of Deschutes County, Oregon the attached Notice of Bond Election, not later than 61 days prior to the election.
