WHEREAS, in the process of acquiring certain pieces of property for the Mt. Washin ton
Drive, Mountaineer Way, and West Ridge Avenue right-of-ways, the County ag,reecNo initiate
the vacation of a portion of Frontage Road, described in Exhibit "A" attached=:hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined it to be in t rpubFx
interest to consider such vacation; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That it is the intent of the Board of County Commissioners to vacate a portion of
Frontage Road.
Section 2. That the portion of Frontage Road proposed to be vacated is described in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
Section 3. That the reason for considering said vacation is to fulfill the County's obligations
related to the acquisition of certain pieces of property for the Mt. Washington Drive,
Mountaineer Way, and West Ridge Avenue right-of-ways.
Section 4. That the County Road Official shall file a report with the Board of Commissioners
describing the ownership and uses of the property to be vacated, and whether the vacation
would be in the public interest.
