1996-15185-Resolution No. 96-034 Recorded 4/25/1996IL BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON A Resolution Declaring the Intention to Transfer Real Property to Newberry Area Habitat for Humanity, an Oregon Non -Profit Corporation, to be Used Exclusively for the Provision of Low Income Housing, Setting a Hearing for the Purpose of Hearing Objections to the Transfer and Providing Notice. RESOLUTION NO. 96-034 WHEREAS, ORS 271.330 provides that Deschutes County may transfer surplus real property to a non-profit corporation for the purpose of providing low income housing; and WHEREAS, the Newberry Habitat for Humanity, Inc., has requested that the County transfer to it the County's interest in certain surplus real property without consideration; and WHEREAS, ORS 271.330 provides that said transfer shall only be made upon notice and after hearing; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: Section 1. That Deschutes County intends to transfer real property described as: Lot 21, Block 2, NEWBERRY ESTATES PHASE I, Deschutes County, Oregon. Section 2. That a hearing for the purpose of receiving objections to the above transfer will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 1996, at the Deschutes County Juvenile Justice Building, 1128 N.W. Harriman, Bend, Oregon, at 10:00 a.m. Section 3. That the Clerk of the County Court shall give notice of the time and place for the hearing set in Section 2 of this resolution by publication of the notice marked Exhibit PAGE 1 OF 2 - RESOLUTION NO. 96-034 (4/24/96) ���e�oE v� 015-1-1430 "A," attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, in "The Bulletin" once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the date of such hearing. Harriman, Bend, Oregon, the Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon, will hold a hearing on a land transfer between Deschutes County and Newberry Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit corporation providing low income housing in the State of Oregon. The land to be transferred by Deschutes County to Newberry Habitat for Humanity is described as follows: Lot 21, Block 2, NEWBERRY ESTATES PHASE I, Deschutes County, Oregon. The parcel is located at 52464 Westley Loop, La Pine, Oregon. The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. Materials are available in alternate formats. For the deaf or hard of hearing, an interpreter or assistive listening system will also be provided with 48 hours notice. WHEREAS, Black Butte Ranch Service District (hereinafter` ef`erred to as "the District"), wishes to become a member of the Special District Worker's Compensation Program for worker's compensation insurance coverage; and WHEREAS, state law requires employers joining such a self- insurance program to pass a resolution as set forth herein; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners acting as the Governing Body of the Black Butte Ranch Service District, that: Section 1. The District agrees to be liable for the payment of any compensation due subject workers of the district or other amounts due to the Oregon Workers Compensation Department under ORS Chapter 656 incurred by the district. Further, the district understands and agrees that should the district terminate from the group that the district will continue to be liable for the payment of any compensation due its subject workers and other amounts due the Workers Compensation Department when such compensation and other amounts arise out of a period when the district was a member of the group.
