Before the Board was signature of Resolution No. 96-056,
transferring appropriations within various funds of Deschutes
County 4-H/Extension Service District 1995/96 Budget.

Before the Governing Body was approval of the weekly accounts

Special Districts Workers Compensation Program.

Consent agenda items before the Board of County Commissioners
were: (1) award of contract to David Evans & Associates for
landfill site evaluation; (2) award of bid to Modern Building
Systems for modular office for Solid Waste Department; (3)
signature of Order No. 96-017, vacating a portion of Frontage
Road in Bend; (4) signature of Order No. 96-038, vacating a
portion of public roads rights-of-way within and adjacent to
Hill Crest Subdivision; (5) signature of Intergovernmental
Agreement for TGM Grant for Bend Urban Area Neighborhood; (6)
signature of Final Plat for Phase I of the Lava Meadows
Subdivision; (7) appointment of Harry Jamison to the Local
Alcohol & Drug Planning Committee; (8) appointment of Tony
Hill to the Deschutes County 4-H/Extension Budget Committee;
(9) appointment of Eric Sande as Deschutes County
Representative to the Round IV Tri -County Regional Strategies
Committee; and (10) signature of Resolution No. 96-034,

11. PUBLIC HEARING: ON ORDINANCE NO 96-032, AMENDING TITLE 18,
FLOOD PLAIN ZONE, OF THE DESCHUTES COUNTY CODE
Before the Board was a public hearing on Ordinance No. 96-032,
amending Title 18, Flood Plain Zone, of the Deschutes County
Code.
Chair Schlangen opened the public hearing and continued it to
Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at 10 a.m.
12. SIGNATURE OF RESOLUTION NO 96-050, PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF
APRIL 28 THROUGH MAY 4, 1996a AS THE FACES OF HOMELESSNESS
WEEK
Before the Board was signature of Resolution No. 96-050,
proclaiming the week of April 28 through May 4, 1996, as the

Before the Board was approval of the Lottery Grants
recommended by the Economic Development Committee.
Susan reported there were 12 applications for a total of
$165,060 requested. The grant money approved totaled $88,750.
The following grants were approved: Bend Community Trees
$5,000, Bend Downtowners $3,000, Skateboard Park $5,000, COCC
Telecommunications Forum $5,000, Deschutes County Fair
$37,000, Library Business Resource $2,050, Solid & Water
$7,650, La Pine Chamber $5,000, Northwest Software Institute
$5,000, Oregon Innovation Center $4,050, and La Pine Park
Restrooms $10,000.
