WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Dq:;chutes County, Oregon
as the governing body of the Sunriver Library County Service Distaict, Deschutes County,
Oregon (the "District"),. has determined that there is a need to finance a n,;w Sunriver area library,.
and to . allow the District to acquire property, construct buildings; make improvements to real
Property, acquire furnishings, equipment, fixtures, library materials and automated technology,
and pay all costs incidental thereto; and
WHEREAS, the costs are estimated to be $1,145,000, u:l of which are costs of
capital construction or improvements or costs of issuing bonds; and
WHEREAS, upon notice duly given, the Board conducted a public hearing on
June 26, 1996, pursuant to ORS 451.545 and 287.055; now, therefore,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
for Deschutes County, Oregon, as the governing body of the Sunriver . r.",ounty Library Service
District as follows:
1. A,Special election is hereby called for the purpa! a of submitting to the
qualified voters of the District the question of contracting a genl:ral obligation bonded
indebtedness in the name of the District in a sum not to exceed $1,145,01:0. Bond proceeds will
be used to finance a new Sunriver area library, and to allow the Distrll;i to acquire property,
construct.buildings, make improvements to real property, acquire furnishir. equipment, fixtures,
library materials and automated technology, and to pay all costs incidental thereto. The bonds
shall mature over a period of not more than 20 years;
2. The Special election hereby called shall be . hold in the District on
September 17, 1996.
3. The Board Secretary shall cause to be delivered to -:he Election Officer of
Deschutes County, Oregon the attached Notice of Bond Election, not late-., than 61 days prior to
the election. The Election Officer is requested to give the electorate of the District notice of the
election pursuant to Oregon law. .

acquire furnishings, equipment, fixtures, library materials and automated toohnology, and to pay
