ORDER NO WHEREAS, a special election in District, was held on September 17, Exhibit 1; and �a . 96-100" X_ - the Sunriver Library County Service 1996, on the measure set forth in WHEREAS, the Abstract of Votes at the election, set forth in Exhibit 2, shows that a majority of the votes cast were in favor of the measure; now, therefore, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, ORDERS as follows: Section 1. That at the election held in the Sunriver Library County Service District on September 17, 1996, 1,097 electors voted YES and 558 electors voted NO on the measure captioned "General Obligation Bond Authorization," set forth in Exhibit 1, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, as evidenced by the Abstract of Votes, marked Exhibit 2, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and that the measure is declared to have passed. If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of Article XI, Section 11 b of the Oregon Constitution. SUMMARY: This measure au- thorizes the District to issue $1,145,000 of bonds to finance library service facilities, and to allow the District to finance a new Sunriver area library, and to al- low the District to acquire prop- erty, construct buildings, make improvements to real property, acquire furnishings, equipment, fixtures, library materials and au- tomated technology, and to pay related costs.
