CONVENE AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF 4-H/EXTENSION COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT 1. APPROVAL OF WEEKLY ACCOUNTS PAYABLE VOUCHERS FOR THE 4- H/EXTENSION COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT Before the Governing Body was approval of the weekly accounts payable vouchers for the 4-H/Extension County Service District in the amount of $131.35. VOTES: SCHLANGEN: YES SLAUGHTER: YES NIPPER: EXCUSED RECONVENE AS THE DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CONSENT AGENDA: Consent agenda items before the Board of County Commissioners were: 1) signature of Acceptance Deed for Gentry Loop Road right-of-way; 2) signature of Renewal of VOCA Contract between the KIDS Center and Deschutes County; 3) delegating authority to Eric Swansen and/or George Read to issue Changes Order not to exceed $5,000 on the construction of the new Community Development Building; 4) signature of Final Partition Plat for Fred Hall; 5) signature of Final Partition Plat for Dan Stultz, a plat that creates two parcels of land in the EFU Zone, at 62550 Dodds Road; 6) signature of Order No. 96-150, appointing Greg Brown as Deschutes County Sheriff; 7) reappointment of Sue Borgensen to Vandevert Acres Special Road MINUTES 2 DECEMBER 18, 1996 MF 0156-2319 District Board of Directors; 7) reappointment of Phil Shepard to Panoramic Access Special Road District Board of Directors; 8) reappointment of Orlen Walling to Ponderosa Pines East Special Road District Board of Directors; and 9) reappointment of Todd Turner, T.M. Brad Chalfant stated this was an exchange of small parcels of land for road right-of-way for the new Sheriff and Juvenile facilities. The house the County would trade away has a value of $3,500. The exchange proponent would be obligated to assume all moving costs for the building. The piece of land constitutes 2,842 square feet with a value of $4,970.00. The County's half of the exchange was valued at $8,470.00 Mrs. Hansen would exchange two pieces of property for the dollar amounts $1,075 and $6,940, for a total of $8,515.00. He recommended authorization of this exchange. Chair Schlangen opened the public hearing. There being no testimony, the public hearing was closed. Bruce White reported this was a hearing on an annexation into Rural Fire Protection District #1. There was 100% of the owners requesting this annexation. Chair Schlangen opened the public hearing. There being no testimony, the public hearing was closed. SLAUGHTER: I will move signature on Order No. 96-122, Rem annexation into Rural Fire Protection District #1.
