WHEREAS, a resolution declaring the intent of the La Pine Special Sewer District to annex
territory, specifically an area known as Wickiup Junction, into said district was duly filed with the
Board of County Commissioners of Deschutes County, Oregon; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is required to hold a public hearing to hear
testimony on the proposed annexation and to determine whether, in accordance with the County's
Comprehensive Plan, applicable Land Conservation and Development Goals and the criteria prescribed
by ORS 199.462 and 198.805, the affected territory would be benefited by annexation into the La Pine
Special Sewer District; now therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON,
ORDERS as follows:
Section 1. The Resolution of the La Pine Special Sewer District declaring its intent to annex
territory, specifically an area known as Wickiup Junction, is accepted.
Section 2. The boundaries of the proposed annexation are set forth in Exhibit A, attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
Section 3. A public hearing regarding the proposed annexation shall be held on Wednesday,
August 1.3, 1997, at 10 a.m. Notice of said hearing, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit B and by
this reference incorporated herein, shall be published and posted in accordance with ORS 198.730.

An area of land located in Section 36 of Township 21 South, Range 10 East, Willamette
Meridian, Deschutes County Oregon, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the South 1/4 Comer of said Section 36; thence easterly
along the south line of said Section 36 to the SW comer of the parcel
described in Warranty Deed from W. Ovid Evans, et.al., to the State of
Oregon as filed in Volume 105 Page 251 of Deeds in the office of the
Deschutes County Clerk on October 7, 1953; thence, leaving said south
section line, northeasterly along the westerly line of said parcel to a point
on the east line of the SWIM of the SE 1/4 of said Section 36, said point

NOTICE OF FIRST HEARING
BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON
A public hearing regarding the proposed annexation of territory into the La
Pine Special Sewer District will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 1997, at 10
a.m. in the Deschutes County Juvenile Justice Building, Room A, 1128 NW
Harriman, Bend, Oregon.
The boundaries of the proposed district are as specified in Exhibit 1, attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
The proposed annexation shall be referred to as the "Wickiup Annexation."
The purpose of the proposed annexation is to provide sewer services for the
inhabitants of the proposed area to be annexed.
All interested persons may appear and be heard.
The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. For the deaf or hard of hearing,
an interpreter or assistive listening system will be provided with 48 hours
notice. Materials in alternate formats may be made available with 48 hours
