1997-45818-Resolution No. 97-152 Recorded 12/1/19970163-1093 REVIEWED 97-45818 LE COIL N 5'"L BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE 9-1-1 COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT 97 DEC -1 PH 2.35 A Resolution Appointing the Emergency Management Division of the Oregon State Police as Agent for the Acquisition of Wireless E9-1-1 Services and Applications RESOLUTION NO. 97-152 WHEREAS the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is Docket 92-102 has mandated that all wireless telephone service carriers provide 10 -digit call-back telephone numbers and location of 9-1-1 callers to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP's); and, WHEREAS the Emergency Management Division of the Oregon State Police (OEM) has requested that all Oregon PSAP's appoint their office as agent for purchasing wireless E9-1-1 services and necessary network circuits; and, WHEREAS the OEM has agreed to fund the acquisition of the necessary equipment and services from the Enhanced 9-1-1 SubAccount administered by the OEM. Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE DESCHUTES COUNTY 911 COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT, as follows: Section 1. That in accordance with ORS 401.730 (1) (b), the Emergency Management Division of the Oregon State Police shall be appointed to act as the agent for the Deschutes County 9-1-1 Service District for the sole purpose of acquiring the necessary equipment, services and software applications intended for the deployment of the County's Enhanced 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System; and Section 2. That the sole agency activity authorized is the acquisition of OEM defined wireless E9-1-1 services, and necessary network circuits; and Section 3. That these items are for the expressed use of complying with ORS 401.7 thru 401.790 and shall be funded from the Enhanced 9-1-1 SubAccount as administered by the OEM.
