Chair Nancy Pope Schlangen called the Board of County Con*UQ Ti'blkigK
meeting to order at 10:06 a.m. County Commissioners present were
Nancy Pope Schlangen, Robert L. Nipper, and Linda L. Swearingen.
Also in attendance were Damian Syrnyk, Planner; Patti Mecca,
Property Management; Tom Blust, Road Department Director; and Bruce
White, Assistant County Counsel.
CONVENE AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF 4-H/EXTENSION COUNTY SERVICE
DISTRICT
1. APPROVAL OF WEEKLY ACCOUNTS PAYABLE VOUCHERS FOR 4-H/EXTENSION
COUNTY SERVICE DISTRICT
Before the Governing Body was approval of the weekly accounts
payable vouchers for 4-H/Extension County Service District in
the amount of $1,210.37.

RECONVENE AS THE DESCHUTES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
PUBLIC HEARING ON ORDINANCE NO, 97-063, AMENDING TITLE 18,
DESCHUTES COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE, TO AMEND THE REGULATIONS
FOR WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES
Before the Board was a public hearing on Ordinance No. 97-063,
amending Title 18, amending Title 18, Deschutes County Zoning
Ordinance, to amend the regulations for wireless
telecommunications facilities.
Damian Syrnyk reviewed the changes to the proposed ordinance.
Bruce White clarified that in the surface mining zone these
facilities were described as a microwave and radio
communication tower with accessory equipment shelters.
Chair Nancy Schlangen opened the public hearing. There being
no testimony the public hearing was closed. The record will

be left open through Friday, November 7, 1997, at 5:00 p.m.
The adoption of the ordinance would take place on November 12,
1997.

engineer's report and Order No. 97-124, setting the public
hearing for said vacation.

the positions needed to be filled.
